I’m an attorney, so I’m logical, right? In all fairness, maybe she didn’t realize what might happen… maybe neither of us could have realized that there was just one road and a very narrow one at that, or what that would look like once I reached it.
But I digress.
I’m nothing, if not focused, resilient, determined, and I don’t plan to let anything stop me from getting to the top. Certainly not a man. Not even a super hot, sexy, ex-SEAL doctor who likes to save damsels in distress.
What do you get when you put a sassy, independent, very intelligent IP attorney and an alpha-male, protective, you’ll do what I say or else doctor together in a cabin for a long weekend?
There’s only one way this little getaway can end.
He thinks we’re going to be best buds. He saved me after all, right?
But he’s a distraction, and more than a bit cocky, just like my dog. I don’t plan to be his friend, let alone fall into bed with him.
But you know what they say about the best of intentions, right?
To top it off, Cocky actually likes him, and Cocky doesn’t like anybody.
