Description:

Trey:
All my life, I was labeled a cocky, entitled player, both on and off the field. But deep inside I just wanted an ordinary family and a normal life. When I let my poor-little-rich-boy existence affect my career, it was my rock bottom. But getting called up to pitch for the Waves may be my salvation. The only problem is, I lost my license and have acted like such a jerk, no one will drive me to the stadium in Myrtle Beach. So I did what I had to and hired a ride share. And when the driver says there’s another fare wanting to take the two-hour drive and asks if I’d be willing to share my ride, I agree since I’m working on being a better person.
But I certainly wasn’t expecting someone like Nori Somers to slide into the backseat next to me. The first thing that caught my attention was the fact that she smells like cinnamon rolls. The second was her husky voice that’s way too sexy for a five-foot-nothing woman. And the third was her pink hair. None of those things are on my list for my ideal woman, but something about her keeps tugging at my attention and the air between us is so charged, it’s practically crackling.
I crashed and burned once but now that I’m getting a second chance, I’m definitely not looking for a woman. And even if I was, tiny women with pink hair who smell like dessert are nowhere on my list.

Nori:
Of course the one time I take an out-of-town job, my car breaks down. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get a ride share to drive me the hundred-plus miles to my next appointment, but I got lucky. Even if I have to deal with the jerk sitting next to me.
He’s pretty much a replica of every prep school, upper-crust boy I went to school with, not to mention my ex-fiancé. For the entire ride, he pretended to have his eyes closed, but I could feel him watching me. At least I didn’t sense disapproval, which is what I’d expect from someone who looks like him. What I did sense was the attraction in the air between us. Thankfully once the two-hour car ride is over, I won’t have to see him again. I’ve been there, done that and still have the deep-rooted scars to prove it.
Once he got out of the car I could breathe easy until I reached my destination and discovered that the driver had given Trey my laptop by mistake. And when he offers to drop it off at my house, imagine my surprise when I discover he’s not the cocky jerk I’d imagined him to be.
