My life’s a mess.
No, not in the sense that I can’t hold a job, I’m behind on child support and the bank’s about to take everything I own.
More like…I have a great job, run my own business, have an amazing group of friends and I’m financially independent, but I’m going nowhere with it all.
Directionless about sums me up perfectly.
I don’t plan for much outside of work. Just wake up and completely raw dog my days. It’s worked well for me all this time and the little unexpected surprises throughout my days keep me on my toes and having fun.
Taking a random woman hostage at work tonight definitely had me wishing I had been more prepared. Not because she was an annoying hostage or mean to me and my fellow bad guys, but because she was…perfect.
She struck me like a Mac truck, blindsided me with her beaming smile…absolutely broke my heart when she up and left my life after being the best hostage I’d ever had.
Oh well. Probably wouldn’t have worked anyway.
