Hiking was one way I was able to get my mind off of my insanely busy work schedule.
It was a joy taking Nikki out on one of my favorite trails, even if she could hardly keep up.
Things were going great, until I twisted my ankle on a steep part of the trail.

Rebecca was the one with the twisted ankle, but her beauty nearly knocked me off my feet.
I got her to the hospital and stayed by her side while the doctors ran tests on her leg.
They told her she would have to stay off of it for a couple weeks. She immediately protested.
I offered to help her with anything she needed, but she protested that too.
We shared an attraction, so I didn’t want to give up on pursuing her.
I was surprised when I was called to her office a few days later.
She had reinjured her leg, and was in a very compromising position.
This time I had to make my intentions clear.
Even though saving her was my job, my true desire was to be with her.
